I'm finally finished with L.C.! Yes, I agree with Barbs that I probably would not have finished it if it wasn't for our little club. I still didn't see Mellors' cunt-hate...to me, he hated the world but loved the "ideal" cunt. And I don't think it was specifically anti-woman, but more anti both the men and women of industrialized society. The message I got was that industrialism and the mass desire to acquire wealth leads to the de-sexualization of both men and women, and thus the loss of the human connection.

Alright...time to MOVE ON!

Alright... next book...

Okay, so now I understand how it felt when no one made posts. I, being one of those that did not make any posts on the Lawrence book, cannot comment. However, I can ask what we have decided to be the next book to read so that perhaps we can try this again. I really did like the fact that I had some focus... that I had a book to read with purpose, rather than start a book here and there, not finish it because perhaps I lost interest... I hate that.

I'm at work right now, and thought about you guys. Hope everyone is doing well!
